Last Wednesday, we were treated to the first trailer of Black Adam which gave us our first look at Dwayne Johnson as the newest hero in the DCEU as well as the introduction of the Justice Society of America, which is expected to have a major role in the film. Fans have been looking forward to seeing the upcoming film especially since it's been in the works for several years now.
As The Hollywood Reporter reports, in conjunction with the upcoming release of the film, DC Comics is launching a four-issue comic series titled The Justice Society Files and each issue will have a variant cover featuring the members of the JSA in the film including Atom Smasher, who is portrayed by Noah Centineo.
However, a lot of fans are noticing that Atom Smasher's suit is similar to Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. While the former has a red and blue design and a different belt, the shape of his eyes is similar to the Marvel hero which prompted fans to make comparisons between them.

It is understandable to see why fans are making comparisons between the two characters if you look at them side-by-side. Obviously, the similarities only go as far as the costume as they each have their own different characteristics. Atom Smasher has the power of growth and super strength while Deadpool is a wisecracking mercenary with the ability to regenerate and has physical prowess.
Jokes aside, it is curious to see what the DCEU iteration of Atom Smasher will look like, especially with Centineo playing him, as well as his interactions with Black Adam and his colleagues at the Justice Society of America. All we know is that he's not going to be like Deadpool even with the similarities in the costume.
