Birds of Prey Gets a 'Birth of Venus'-Inspired Poster

Just like with Suicide Squad, the marketing for Birds of Prey is all about getting creative. We've already got several promo materials for the film, but this latest poster decides to go classical with a look inspired by Sandro Botticelli's The Birth of Venus.

Seeing that this movie is all about Harley Quinn moving on from the Joker, it would make sense that she would be at the center of the "painting." Then again, the movie has made no qualms about Harley being the main character of the film.

Besides that, we get a look at all the other members of the Birds like Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain, and Det. Renee Montoya. I'd think there would be something representing Black Mask in the poster, but I can't seem to find anything. I guess it's worth noting that the ripples on the water kind of look like bats? Is Batman going to have a cameo? I would be so happy if this movie confirmed Batfleck's return; heck I'd be happy if Jared Leto's Joker came back, just for the sake of continuity.

After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord, Black Mask in Gotham City.

Catch Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) when it hits theaters Feb. 7, 2020.
