Birds of Prey Ensemble Reveal Who They’d Like to See in Sequel

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) may have yet to premiere this week, however, it seems like the cast of the movie is already looking forward to a sequel.

Huntress actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Black Canary actress Jurnee Smollett-Bell, and Renne Montoya actress Rosie Perez just recently went on an interview with ComicBook.com to help promote their new movie, Birds of Prey. During the discussion with the entertainment news outlet, the actresses decided to open up about the characters that they'd like to see in the next Birds of Prey movie, admitting that they'd like to see DC fan-favorite characters like Oracle ad Poison Ivy in the next film.

"Well I think we've talked a lot about Poison Ivy and Oracle," Winstead said.

Smollet-Bell couldn't help agree with her castmate, however, the team couldn't help but think that Lady Shiva would also make a good addition to the Birds of Prey team.

"Oracle, yeah, we have to have Oracle," the actress said. "In the other interview, we were fantasizing about Poison Ivy and Harley against the Birds of Prey. I don't know, there's so many. Lady Shiva and Black Canary have such great..."

To the uninitiated, Lady Shiva is an antiheroine who works as an assassin-for-hire. She specializes in killing her targets with just her bare hands. Lady Shiva would be a great addition in Birds of Prey 2 knowing that she's also the mother of Cassandra Cain who's being played by Ella Jay Basco in the upcoming DC movie. We could definitely see Lady Shiva working with Harley and the rest of the gang.

Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is set for release this Friday, February 7, 2020.
