With the arrival of Mother's Day comes several tributes online, some coming from celebrities. Carrie Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd, has decided to share this photo of her mother, and attempts to reach out to people who can't be with their moms on Mother's Day.

Though Carrie Fisher may be gone, her presence in the fanbase is always felt. In fact, one of the biggest factors to the success of Star Wars Episode IX will be on how the film will handle the passing of Fisher. With Leia being such an important character to the franchise, J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio have one hell of a chore to pull off.
As for Lourd, she plays the role of Lt. Kaydel Connix in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. She had an expanded role in The Last Jedi, and I can't help but feel that they'll be adding more of her in Episode IX as well. Lourd may not have the same level of prestige that Fisher had, but fans are happy to see her onscreen.
There's still no confirmation that Connix will return in Episode IX, but hopefully we get an update on her role before the movie starts filming.
