Bill Clinton made headlines last year amid reports that he was rushed to the hospital due to an infection. The ex-POTUS stayed at UC Irvine Medical Center for a couple of days while his doctors observed his condition. Since then, Clinton has not been rushed to the hospital so his supporters believe that he’s fully recovered from his illness.

Bill Clinton Isn’t Completely On The Mend Following His Blood Infection

Globe, in its Jan. 31 issue, claimed otherwise. The publication thinks that Bill Clinton wasn’t completely transparent about his health problems. In fact, there are speculations that the former president might also be in need of a heart transplant.

“The man has not looked healthy. He’s thin and lost his strut. He’s getting up there in age and just doesn’t take care of himself. It’s all coming back to haunt him,” an unnamed source said.

Bill Clinton Could Under A Heart Transplant

The publication’s resident internist, Dr. Gabe Mirkin also weighed in on Clinton’s health problems. He said that the ex-president might be in need of a heart transplant to help him get better.

“Clinton’s heart is damaged because he has previously suffered complete obstruction of blood flow to a part of the heart muscle. He had a stent and bypass and they wouldn’t have performed those surgeries had he not had an extensive plaque in his arteries. Each time there is a complete obstruction and lack of oxygen flow, the heart muscle dies and is replaced by scar tissue that is unable to contract,” Mirkin explained.

The internist added that Clinton’s heart is most likely too weak to pump enough blood to his brain. So, his wife, Hillary Clinton, and daughter, Chelsea couldn’t help but worry about him.

Bill Clinton Battling Parkinson’s Disease

Other than Clinton’s alleged heart problems, the 42nd president of the United States is also, allegedly, suffering from Parkinson’s.

Historian Robert Morrow, the author of The Clintons’ War on Women claimed that the former leader abused his body for years so he doesn’t have any choice but to pay for them right now.

Bill Clinton Hospitalized Last Year

In October, Clinton’s spokesperson was the one that confirmed his hospitalization. There was no proof that they concealed important information about the ex-POTUS’s health.

“On Tuesday, President Clinton was admitted to UCI Medical Center to receive treatment for a non-COVID-related infection. He is on the mend, in good spirits, and is incredibly thankful to the doctors, nurses, and staff providing him with excellent care,” Angela Urena said via ABC News.

After Clinton was sent home, his doctor also released a statement confirming that he’s on the mend.

“President Clinton was discharged from UC Irvine Medical Center today. His fever and white blood cell count are normalized and he will return home to New York to finish his course of antibiotics. On behalf of everyone at UC Irvine Medical Center, we were honored to have treated him and will continue to monitor his progress,” Dr. Alpesh N. Amin said.

Bill Clinton’s Heart Problems Revisited

In 2004, Clinton underwent heart surgery. At the time, he said that his heart problems had to do with his genetics.

“The number one thing I would say to people is if you've got a family history, you gotta be tested, tested, tested. You should bend over backward to make sure you get the medicine that you need and watch your diet. And the only signals are not, you know, where your chest is hurting so bad you can hardly stand up, and you're on the verge of a heart attack. It may be sustained shortness of breath or inability to do things you used to do. You just can't assume it's the aging process. I just missed it [the warning signs]. That was my fault. I don't blame my doctors or anybody else. … I was insufficiently vigilant,” Clinton said.

Six years later, Clinton was readmitted to the hospital where he underwent a coronary artery procedure. However, there’s no indication that the ex-president is still facing the same heart issues that he once did before.
