BIGBANG’s Taeyang opened up about his departure from YG Entertainment and revealed why he chose to sign with THEBLACKLABEL.
Two of the remaining active BIGBANG members under YG Entertainment, Taeyang and Daesung, left the label and signed with new agencies. Like T.O.P., who left in February, they remain part of the boy group.
Only G-dragon is the only member who remains on the label, but he is still in talks with YG regarding his contract as a solo musician.
After officially leaving in December, the Wedding Dress singer opened up about his decision and shared why he chose THEBLACKLABEL.

Why BIGBANG’s Taeyang Chose THEBLACKLABEL
Taeyang appeared on the Jan. 16 episode of YouTube’s 1theK Original show, Look Me Up. The K-pop idol talked about a lot of things, including his child with his wife, Min Hyorin and his exit from YG Entertainment.
According to the singer, he remains on good terms with YG Entertainment despite leaving the company.

"I'm on good terms with YG Entertainment, which I've worked under for a very long time,” he said. “I decided to move on to THEBLACKLABEL. It's going to be a meaningful time for me. We've worked on many songs together, so, we'll get to show those works as an artist under that agency."
Creative director and songwriter Teddy currently leads THEBLACKLABEL. The company has since expressed its excitement to work with Taeyang and support him in making a wider spectrum of music.
BIGBANG Taeyang Hypes Fans With Information About His Child
During the same interview, Taeyang talked about his and actress Min Hyorin’s son, whom they welcomed in November 2021. He also corrected the information shown during the appearance, clarifying that his child was not born in December.
According to Taeyang, his son is “so pretty” as he looks like his wife.
"If I take him outside, people ask if he's a girl and I have to tell them he's a son every time. He is that pretty. He's so lovely and precious,” he went on.
Taeyang and Min Hyorin tied the knot in a private ceremony on Feb. 3, 2018. They had been dating since 2013.
