I think we can all agree that the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse Saga has opened an infinite number of possibilities for the franchise and it's quite evident over the last two years. As actors from past Marvel projects begin crossing over to the billion-dollar franchise, it's almost safe to assume that more stars will begin popping up in the MCU in a surprise fashion.

Now, a new report claims that another actor from one of the property's most polarizing films is once again heading to the Marvel Universe. According to Giant Freakin Robot, Affleck is set to reprise his role as the Man Without Fear in the Multiverse Saga's culminating film Avengers: Secret Wars. The outlet didn't provide other details about his potential cameo so of course, it's still best to take this one with a huge grain of salt.

This isn't the first time Affleck was rumored to be making his shocking return to the Marvel Universe. In fact, his version of the character was reportedly appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but we all know that didn't happen. Considering he is no longer contractually obligated to appear in the DC Universe, the chances of Affleck returning to his original home are quite high.

It's also worth noting that Marvel Studios is adamant about getting every past Marvel actor in the film and whether you liked his Matt Murdock performance or not, Affleck is still technically part of the pre-MCU roster. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing him suit up as Daredevil again just so he's given his redemption arc.

Avengers: Secret Wars is currently slated to hit cinemas on May 1, 2026.
