There are only a few players from Squid Game: The Challenge that fans were genuinely rooting for. Player 018 aka Bee stood out since she became team captain during the warship battle game. Though she's not in the final three, here's why fans wanted her to win.

Now that nine episodes of the Netflix reality show have already premiered, Bee's showing up until the eighth episode had fans wishing for her triumph.

The first time Bee shined in Squid Game: The Challenge was in the third episode, where she became the captain of the warship battle.

Not only is she a games industry professional and a self-proclaimed game aficionado, but she also joined Mensa at the age of 13 as one of the top 0.5% most intelligent people in the UK.

She proved herself when she had her team win in warships and survived up until the dice game in the eighth episode.

Apart from proving herself to be a potential threat amongst other contestants in Squid Game: The Challenge, player 018 didn't double-cross anyone and even kept friendships along the way, which is a rare sight to see in a reality show of this nature.

People only began trusting her skills and strategy in Squid Game: The Challenge episode 3 titled 'War':

"I'm really good at games. I play games for a living. If there's anything I'm going to be good at, it's this [warship battle]."
"I take a lot of pride in my intelligence. I love reading books and I love challenging my brain. I was in Mensa at the age of 13 with an IQ in the top 0.5% of the UK. My parents really put my forward for it because I think they wanted me to see on paper that I was capable."

Unfortunately, Squid Game: The Challenge episode 8 marked the end of Bee's journey. Considering that the dice game means players have to not roll sixes to stay in the game, player 018 knew what she was getting herself into:

"It's very tense watching people roll the dice. I'm just waiting for it to be my turn now. I play a lot of backgammon, and I'm really good at rolling sixes, which is good in backgammon but will get me eliminated in this game."

By the last episode she appeared in, she nominated herself, admitting that she always rolled sixes to reassure her players that she couldn't do that to others. She ended up losing her place.

However, this didn't stop fans from supporting her even after her time in Squid Game: The Challenge ended:
