Beauty and the Beast Outperforms Finding Dory’s Advanced Ticket Sales

The hype for Beauty and the Beast grows significantly stronger as the Disney live action adaption draws closer and closer to its release date with new reports revealing skyrocketing advanced ticket sales for the film.

According to a report by Deadline,Beauty and the Beast is outdoing the advanced sales of Disney's 2016 success, Finding Dory. Apparently the live-action adaptation of the 1991 animated film has been marked as the No.1 ticket-selling film on Fandango to this day. The online retailer calls the Beauty and The Beast ticket phenomenon as an "unstoppable early pre-sales, the likes of which Fandango normally sees for a superhero movie."

Beauty and The Beast has already gone past Finding Dory's ticket sales during the same point in its sale cycle, and the film is expected to go beyond the Finding Nemo sequel's $135 million opening. The film is doing so well, Beauty and The Beast could also definitely go beyond the live-action adaptation of Disney's Cinderella which debuted with a meager sum of $67.9 M. These numbers may be because of how well fans are taking to the casting of the film and the retention of the old animated movie's original songs.

With the numbers pilling up, it seems like theaters are definitely going to be packed when Beauty and the Beast premieres on March 17 next month.
