With anthropomorphic animals in a modern and civilized world where a cultural divide between animals separates the carnivores and herbivores, Beastars is a critically acclaimed anime series for the social commentaries that the show has, making it an award-winning anime series.
Not your typical run-off-the-mill animal anime series, Beastars is animated by Studio Orange basing the story on a shōnen manga of the same name by Paru Itagaki, the first work of the author/illustrator to get published in the Weekly Shonen Champion. The manga series of Beastars has already been completed last year with upcoming work, Beast Complex, a mini-series to Beastars.
The title of being a "Beastar" is given to any animal who has proven their excellence worthy when it comes to the pursuit of justice and equality within their community. Each Beastar is known for its great service to the public, its talent, and its notoriety as members of the commune.
Currently, Beastars is in its second season with a slate of 12 episodes throughout the season.
