The whole multiverse concept seems overdone at this point but there's no denying that when executed correctly, it creates compelling stories and jaw-dropping moments fans will be buzzing about for ages. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has found success with it in films like Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and now, it's DC's turn to take a crack at the multiverse craze.

The Flash will see the triumphant return of Michael Keaton as Batman and while Warner Bros. Discovery axed the Batgirl project which Keaton was originally a part of, there were rumors swirling online that the BurtonVerse Batman will be the DCEU's main caped crusader moving forward.

Now, another ex-Dark Knight is expressing his interest in reprising the iconic role. Val Kilmer, who made his first and only outing as Bruce Wayne in 1995's Batman Forever says he'd like to don the Batsuit one more time. Speaking with IGN's Jim Vejvoda, the Top Gun actor simply said "Yea please" when asked about the possibility.

Say what you will about Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever but I think Kilmer's take on the character is criminally underrated. He even got Bob Kane's stamp of approval who once said that he was the most screen-accurate Batman during the time of the film's release. Now, would I like to see him make a cameo appearance in a future DC project? Sure, why not but I don't know how the fandom would feel about it.

The Flash is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 23, 2023.
