Fans are understandably hyped up for Batgirl now that the HBO Max film is in production. In addition to that, people are finding exciting things on the set of the DC Extended Universe project. The latest one involves a major Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Easter egg which could also confirm the appearance of Lex Luthor himself!
We already know that Justice League star J.K. Simmons will be back in Batgirl where he will reprise his role as Commissioner Jim Gordon. The character's role in the movie pretty much confirms that it will be set in the Snyderverse and a new image taken on the set of the film backs it up.
It's just a prop for the movie but it might confirm that it takes place right after the events in Dawn of Justice when Lex Luthor was still in prison. In addition to that, there's a possibility that we'll get to see the character in the film.
So is Jesse Eisenberg returning as Lex Luthor in Batgirl? For now, it has not yet been confirmed whether the Justice League star will make an appearance in the highly anticipated movie. However, there is a possibility that we'll get an update soon.
Batgirl will star In The Heights star Leslie Grace who has been cast as Barbara Gordon. She will be joined by Brendan Fraser who will play Firefly and Michael Keaton who will return as Bruce Wayne aka Batman. In addition to that, Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai have all been cast in undisclosed roles.
The film will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah while Christina Hodson wrote the screenplay. Batgirl is still in production and has not yet been an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
