Batgirl First Look Revealed at DC FanDome


We just found out that Leslie Grace will play Barbara Gordon in Batgirl but we're already getting awesome updates on the upcoming DC Extended Universe project. The first concept art for the highly anticipated HBO Max film has just been shared at DC FanDome.

It has been a long time since Batgirl was confirmed to be in development at Warner Bros. in 2017. Although the project was supposed to be written by Joss Whedon, the filmmaker has since left the film. Luckily, the studio decided to continue with Batgirl, this time finding the right people to work on the movie.

It might still be in development but there was an awesome surprise from Batgirl at DC FanDome. The concept art, featuring Barbara Gordon looking down at Gotham City, was unveiled at the event. Check it out below.

We're loving the concept art and it certainly hypes up the new HBO Max film. However, we're also hoping we'll get to learn some new details about the project soon.

Batgirl will be directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah while Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson is currently working on the screenplay. In addition to Grace, J.K. Simmons has been confirmed to reprise his role as Commissioner James Gordon in the film.

For now, the plot details for Batgirl have not yet been revealed. However, there is a possibility that it will explore how Barbara became Batgirl and the relationship she was with her father. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
