The first teaser for Peacemaker is finally here, thanks to DC FanDome and it comes with some awesome footage from the highly anticipated Suicide Squad spin-off series. In addition to that, we finally know the show's official release date this January!

The Peacemakerteaser was shared during the show's panel at DC FanDome and it starts off with John Cena's Christopher Smith trying to get out of the hospital and back ... into prison? He tells the janitor that he is actually a superhero named Peacemaker but the man says there is no superhero with that name.

We don't know what's happening there but no one seems interested in keeping Christopher in prison. Clemson Murn immediately recruits him to work for him and introduces the people Peacemaker will be working with. We get to see Emilia Harcourt, John Economos, and new recruit Leota Adebayo. There's also a glimpse at Christopher's other friend Vigilante who seems just as unhinged as the rest of the team.

So what's happening to Christopher and his team? It looks like they aren't taking him seriously but Adebayo points out that she finds him "sad". At this point, we get to meet Christopher's father Auggie Smith, who is played by the unrecognizable Robert Patrick.

There's plenty of action set against the awesome track Do You Wanna Taste It by Wig Wam and we also get a glimpse at Judomaster. One of the coolest things about the trailer is Peacemaker and Vigilante shooting bottles and just about anything they can get their hands on in the woods. It's an exciting tease at the Suicide Squad spin-off and we can't wait until January to watch it.

Peacemaker also stars Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, and Chukwudi Iwuji. The series is scheduled to premiere on HBO Max on January 13, 2021.
