Baby Yoda Joins Space-X Crew After Recent Launch

There is little doubt that Baby Yoda is one of the most beloved figures in pop culture since his debut in the first season of The Mandalorian last year. Star Wars fans have been snatching up anything that has The Child's face and the adorable character can be seen just about anywhere. Interestingly, Baby Yoda even made it into space, thanks to the Space-X crew who decided to take a plushie with them on the latest launch.

On Sunday, November 15, Space-X launched a mission to send a crew to the international space station. Not surprisingly, the launch is a success and the astronauts have relaxed since then. However, it looks like they also had a cute little companion with them, as revealed below.

"F9/Crew-1: No additional word on the propellant line heater issue; meanwhile, live video from inside the Crew Dragon included a shot of the astronauts' zero-gravity indicator -- a Baby Yoda doll," the caption reads.

It's not exactly a huge surprise that the astronauts wanted to bring along their Baby Yoda plushie. After all, people waited a long time to get their hands on the toy and there is a certain comfort in having the adorable Star Wars character around. Hopefully, the crew are having the time of their lives and will be taking care of The Child on their mission.

Although Baby Yoda is well-loved by fans, the character also experienced backlash after people didn't like the fact that The Child was eating Frog Lady's eggs in the previous episode of The Mandalorian. Luckily, Baby Yoda had an interesting redemption arc in Chapter 11.
