'Avengers' Star Chris Hemsworth Teams Up With 'Joker' Director for Hulk Hogan Movie

Well, let me tell ya something brother, Avengers: Endgame star Chris Hemsworth might make for a great God of Thunder but he's going to have his hands (and tights) full with his next role as "The Hulkster" himself Hulk Hogan. According to THR, Hemsworth will be portraying the WWE Hall of Famer in a new biopic coming to Netflix, which is really interesting when you consider all the controversy surrounding the WWE legend.

Hemsworth will be teaming with Joker director Todd Phillips for a biopic that will reportedly show how Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, rose through the wrestling ranks in the ‘80s to become the biggest name in sports entertainment. That's no joke either as Hogan was a name so big that he was able to sell out arenas with legends like "Macho Man" Randy Savage and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase.

Some might view this film as controversial, however, since Hogan was recently part of a scandal that had him saying very racist things about black people. The movie will not tackle that aspect but it is somewhat uncomfortable to know that a biopic on Hogan will be made in spite of the controversy.

Then again, WWE forgave him so maybe other people will too. Hopefully, Hogan comes up with a much better apology in the future.

No release date or title for this Hulk Hogan movie have been revealed. Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
