Avengers: Infinity War To Reach $1 Billion At Global Box Office By Saturday

Avengers: Infinity War has been nothing but a commercial success.

Not only has the first installment in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie beat The Fate of the Furious' $541.9 million global opening with its global box office breaking $640.9 million haul, it also beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens' opening weekend record at the domestic box office.

Now, after a week in cinemas, Infinity War is well on its way to reaching $1 billion at the global box office. According to a report by Deadline, Marvel's massively successful crossover movie has just earned $857.3 million today. By Saturday, the film is expected to reach the $1 billion milestone – faster than any other Hollywood movie.

Infinity War is so commercially successful, the film is outpacing Avengers: Age of Ultron's box office earnings by 66 percent and Captain America: Civil War's earnings by 74 percent. That's a whole lot faster than The Force Awakens – a film which was propelled by the excitement over the fact that it was first Star Wars film to release since Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

There's certainly a lot of hype for Infinity War and we're not entirely sure when the excitements going to simmer down.

Avengers: Infinity War is currently screening in cinemas.
