Avengers: Infinity War Star Don Cheadle Has Been Cast In Lebron James’ Space Jam Sequel

It looks like Warner Brothers is doing its best to gather some big names for its upcoming Space Jam movie.

According to a new report by Deadline,Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame star Don Cheadle has just been cast in Warner Brother's Space Jam 2. The Marvel actor is set to appear opposite the film's lead NBA superstar LeBron James.

Right now the film is in the middle of production and according to the post, the film is going to add Cheadle to a cast list including Lebron James. Right now Cheadle's role in the Space Jam sequel is being kept under wraps, though we're pretty sure that the studio is going to make an announcement soon.

For those who aren't familiar with the movie, the original Space Jam which was released in 1996 focuses on the Looney Tunes efforts to win a basketball competition right after they challenge alien invaders to a match. The Looney Tunes characters have to try their best though, because their freedom lies in the outcome of the game.

Unfortunately, it seems like the aliens know how to steal talent from professional basketball players because of their ability to transform into dreaded Monstars. This forces the Looney Tunes to try their best to recruit NBA superstar Michael Jordan to their side to help them win the game.

Space Jam 2 is likely to have more or less the same storyline, but this time with Cheadle and with LeBron James.

Space Jam 2 hits cinemas July 16, 2020.
