Avengers: Infinity War Is Going To “Create A New Playground” For Agents of Shield

There's a lot of excitement over Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4. Promising a battle between the Earth's Mightiest Heroes and the Mad Titan Thanos, the two-part Avengers movie promises to bring together more than 60 Marvel characters together as part of the culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Promising the ultimate smash down, Infinity War and Avengers 4 won't just be bringing changes to the MCU, but as well as changes to Marvel TV's Agents of Shield.

Sitting down at the Wonder Con panel for the TV series at this year's Wonder Con (via IGN), Agents of Shield showrunner Jed Whedon decided to explain how the events of Avengers: Infinity War might impact the series.

"When Doctor Strange came out it introduced us to magic which gave us Ghost Rider. When [Guardians of the Galaxy] came out, we were introduced to space. We are waiting for [Avengers: Infinity War] to come out so it can open a new playground for us," Whedon told fans at the panel.

It's interesting how Agents of Shield tries to reflect the events that happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, moving along to match what fans see on the big screen. We can't wait to see how Infinity War's going to change things for the MCU as well as Agents of Shield.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
