Avengers: Infinity War Deleted Scene Reveals How The Guardians Almost Didn't Make It To Titan

A deleted scene from Avengers: Infinity War has revealed that the remaining Guardians almost didn't go to Thanos' home planet.

In Infinity War, Tony Stark, Peter Parker, and Stephen Strange were brought to Titan by Ebony Maw's ship. The trio was attacked by Star-Lord, Drax, and Mantis who thought they were Thanos' men. After realizing that they were all on the same side, they joined forces in an effort to capture the Mad Titan.

The team-up between the Guardians, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange certainly had some of the best scenes in Infinity War. However, a new deleted scene has confirmed that it almost didn't happen because of Ace Frehley.

The Infinity War deleted scene shared by Entertainment Weekly reveals that Star-Lord was unable to do anything after Thanos kidnapped Gamora in Knowhere. Quill was desperate to get his groove back so he had been playing Frehley's cover of the Russ Ballard song "New York Groove."

The impatient Drax decided to confiscate his Zune, leading their argument out to Mantis, who brings their attention to a blinking device. Quill realizes that it is a message from Nebula telling them that Gamora is still alive and to meet her in Titan.

The scene is certainly hilarious but is somehow unnecessary since the film already showed Nebula sending a message to the Guardians when she escaped her Chitauri captors. The studio may have also reconsidered using the Ace Frehley track in Infinity War, which only featured one notable pop song ("The Rubberband Man" by The Spinners).
