Avengers: Infinity War Art Book Pays Tribute To The Fallen Heroes

We're still not over the unexpected deaths in Avengers: Infinity War. However, the new art book for the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick has paid tribute to the fallen heroes in the most heartbreaking way possible.

The art book's back cover was recently posted on Reddit and immediately had people tearing up. Check out the heartbreaking image below.

The back cover features Loki, who was one of Thanos' first victims in Infinity War. It also shows Gamora, who was ultimately sacrificed to procure the Soul Stone. The art put the focus on Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Star Lord, Mantis, Drax, Groot, Scarlet Witch, Falcon, Bucky Barnes, Black Panther, Vision, and Nick Fury.

Interestingly, the art book left out Idris Elba's Heimdall as well as Cobie Smulders' Agent Maria Hill. Heimdall was killed by Thanos on the Asgardian ship in the film's tragic opening scene. Hill disintegrated in the post-credits sequence, just moments before Fury managed to send a message out to Captain Marvel.

Although the characters are considered dead for now, fans believe they will all be resurrected in Avengers 4. There are several theories as to how the heroes will be brought back. Some believe that the survivors will go back in time to reverse Thanos' snap. Other speculate that the characters are not actually dead but have simply been moved to another dimension.

We're still unsure how everyone will return in Avengers 4. For now, we'll have to wait until the premiere of the highly anticipated MCU flick.

Avengers 4 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
