Marvel fans might be expecting a few of the Avengers to sacrifice their lives in their mission to undo Thanos' (Josh Brolin) massacre in Avengers: Endgame, but no one's expecting the Mad Titan to last beyond the film either. However, while many expect Endgame to be the last film featuring Thanos, Brolin says his contract is going to last a bit longer than that.
Brolin and the rest of Endgame's cast have been out and about promoting the film. During a recent interview with Variety, the Marvel star was asked to reveal what was going to happen in the second installment in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie. Refusing to let any spoilers out, Brolin tried to excuse himself by saying he wasn't entirely sure what was going to happen because of how confusing the filming schedules for Endgame actually were.
When asked how much longer his contract was for Marvel and how many movies he was signed to work on, Brolin gave a rather surprising response.
"Ten! For the next ten years! I'm doing one a year. Kevin Feige!," the actor said.
Could Brolin be around for ten years? Maybe the actor's joking. Or he's referring to his continued role in the Deadpool franchise. Disney just recently acquired Fox this year, and while the X-Men franchise reboot is being put on a hold, the Mickey Mouse House has been saying that it won't make any changes to Deadpool. If so, then Marvel could have Brolin signed on for more years in the MCU, not as Thanos, but instead as Deadpool's Cable.
Let's wait and see.
Avengers: Endgame premieres tomorrow, April 26.
