Avengers: Endgame’s Chris Pratt On Whether He’s The Next Indiana Jones

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is finally addressing those rumors that he's going to take over the role of Indiana Jones for Harrison Ford.

While the Marvel star is also set to reprise his role as Emmet in The Lego Movie 2, Pratt has also had several other swashbuckling roles. In The Lego Movie 2, not only does he play Emmat, but Pratt also voices a new character named Rex Dangervest, a galaxy defender much similar to Star-Lord. In Jurassic World, he plays Raptor trainer Owen Grady. He also plays a cowboy in The Magnificent Seven remake.

To be honest, Pratt has a cowboy charm about him that would make him perfect as a young Indiana Jones. However, speaking in an interview with RTE Entertainment, not only does Pratt get to talk about Rex, but about the rumors going around saying that he'll do Indiana Jones.

"Well you know, I told (writers) Chris (Miller) and Phil (Lord), 'Listen please allow me to be your muse, dig into my life as much as you want', and they pulled that out of the zeitgeist," the actor told the publication. "There was speculation around whether or not I would do Indiana Jones and I think that's why they put that in there, maybe hedging their bets in case I did that one day, the movie would hold up. But there's no more information about that now than there was before."

Such a shame that the rumors hold nothing to them. Pratt would have made an interesting Indiana Jones if he had a chance. He even seems to be interested in the part as well.

Pratt is set to reprise his role as Guardians of the Galaxy's Star-Lord in Avengers: Endgame which premieres April 26, 2019.
