Avengers: Endgame’s Chris Hemsworth Wants To Have His Own Team Thor Disney+ Series

Avengers: Endgame might mark the end of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but some of the Avengers have already started expanding to other projects like Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and his new series over at Disney+, and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and her upcoming standalone film.

Now, it looks like Chris Hemsworth wants a series of his own, and it looks like the Asgardian God of Thunder wants to bring his Australian roommate Darryl along for the ride. During the promotional campaign for Thor: Ragnarok, director Taika Waititi dropped a series of shorts showing what Thor was up to during the events of Captain America: Civil War (the Asgardian was famously absent from the film as well as Mark Ruffalo's Hulk). It turns out that the God of Thunder somehow had relocated to Australia where he lived together with a generally amicable roommate, Darryl Jacobson. Though the shorts didn't last for very long, fans loved seeing Thor messing around with Darryl, and now it looks like Hemsworth wants to make a series out of it.

Speaking together with MTV International, Hemsworth was asked whether he'd like to do a Team Thor series for Disney's upcoming streaming sight Disney+. The actor had no reason to say no.

"I'd love to do that,' Hemsworth said. "I'd love to see Darryl more. I'd love to do a mockumentary TV show of us living together and rooming together and our day to day adventures outside of saving the world, just sort of the regular stuff. I thought that was a lot of fun to shoot and also I think it'd be cool to have a TV show like that yeah. Surfing, fishing, we got a pub, it'd be good fun. Tamed Asgard and get to explore that world."

Though it seems unlikely that Disney would seriously want to give Team Thor their own series, it would sure be fun to see Thor kick back and spend time hanging out with Darryl in Australia. The Asgardian God of Thunder's already been through a lot. He also needs a vacation every now and then.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
