We already know that Clint Barton will be back in Avengers: Endgame. However, the new trailer may have confirmed that Hawkeye had been training a young protégé who may take on an important role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.
The trailer offers a look back at the backstory of our beloved characters Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and Thor. However, Clint's past (possibly taking place sometime before Avengers: Infinity War) is understandably poignant. It shows Clint with a young girl shooting an arrow and landing the bullseye. The happy Clint immediately gives his young student a high-five.
Unfortunately, the scene is cut short as we see Clint as Ronin facing Black Widow. Is it possible that his protégé was one of the victims of Thanos' snap? Or will we see the young girl again in Endgame?
There have been speculations that Kate Bishop will play an important role in the film. Some have even suggested that Katherine Langford has been cast as the new Hawkeye. However, this is still based on theory so we recommend taking it with a grain of salt.
There's a possibility that Clint's scene shows his own daughter Lila Barton, who had a brief appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The scene could reveal that Clint actually allowed his children to take an interest in archery.
The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:
"Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of the universe killed in an event dubbed "The Decimation", the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe."
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26.
