He's back! Clint Barton has finally returned in the new trailer for Avengers: Endgame. However, this isn't the Hawkeye we have gotten used to. Nevertheless, there are speculations that Ronin might actually end up working with a new Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.
In the Endgame trailer, Natasha Romanoff finds a hooded man wielding a katana to defeat several opponents. It is later revealed that the mysterious man is Clint and he doesn't look very happy to see his old friend.
There's not much to work on with the brief sequence yet fans are already speculating about what had happened to Clint during his absence in Avengers: Infinity War. Some believe that the archer had lost his family when Thanos snapped his fingers and decided to take on a new identity. Interestingly, this might mean that Endgame will introduce a new Hawkeye.
There have been rumors that 13 Reasons Why actress Katherine Langford has been cast as Kate Bishop in Endgame. The confirmation that Clint has become Ronin has once again fueled the rumors and fans believe Kate will show up in the film. It would be interesting to see the former Hawkeye working with a young student who will eventually take on his mantle. Luckily, the wait for the sequel will not be as long as originally expected.
The fourth Avengers film has been given an earlier release date which is one week earlier than originally announced. It's a move similar to what happened to Avengers: Infinity War, which was scheduled for May but was moved up to a late April premiere.
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
