"The man, the myth, the legend. The one and only @thatkevinsmith !!! Stoked to be a part of his next film Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. What a pleasure it was hanging out mate," Hemsworth wrote.

Smith is equally pleased with the collaboration. However, he also had some advice for the Odinson. "My god (of Thunder) you were phenomenal! Many thanks, sir. But next time you face Thanos, aim for the head," Smith wrote.

Hemsworth's role in the film has not yet been confirmed. He now joins a long list of big names like Grant Gustin, Chris Jericho, Rosario Dawson, Tom Cavanagh, Method Man, and Fred Armisen, all of whom are joining the film in undisclosed roles.

The Jay and Silent Bob reboot is set to be a remake of the 2001 comedy Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back. Smith and Jason Mewes will reprise their roles in the film.

The synopsis for the reboot reads as follows:

"After losing the legal rights to their names over a film reboot of Bluntman and Chronic, Jay and Silent Bob travel across the USA in an attempt to prevent the reboot from being made."

The film has not yet been given an official release date.
