Avengers: Endgame Star Chris Evans Pets A Dog To Avoid Complicated MCU Question

It's no secret that Marvel fans have some burning questions about things that happened in Avengers: Endgame. For instance, what happened when Steve Rogers decided not to go back to the present? Chris Evans clearly wants to avoid answering questions like this one and so he came up with an adorable distraction.

Evans was recently in attendance at ACE Comic Con in Seattle, Washington where he was reunited with Endgame co-stars Don Cheadle and Jeremy Renner (via ComicBook.com). During their panel, Evans was asked the rules of time-traveling continuity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Captain America: Civil War star wasn't eager to give a concrete explanation.

"You know, I'm not sure I can give you those answers. That's weak as s--t, but ask the writers," Evans said. "Look, I understand there's a lot of things you can question about the time continuity but if there's one thing I've learned about working with Marvel, they don't leave stones unturned. They really don't."

He then subtly changed the subject by pointing out that there was a dog in the audience. Evans hopped off the stage to meet the lucky pooch before eventually going back to answer more questions.

That certainly sounds like something Evans would do in a complicated situation. Besides, who could resist a cute dog? Either way, it worked to his advantage as he subtly dodged having to answer a difficult question.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in theaters AGAIN all weekend.
