Avengers: Endgame Director Anthony Russo On Whether Or Not Goose Survived The Snap

The Flerken Goose became a quick fan-favorite when the cat appeared in Captain Marvel. Sure, the film should have been focused entirely on Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, but Goose was a scene stealer, and fans couldn't help but love the Flarken for its impossibly cute little butt and for its ability to surprise fans during critical moments in the movie.

Now, as Avengers: Endgame approaches its release date, fans can't help but wonder about Goose and whether the cat survived Thanos' Snappening during Avengers: Infinity War. Sure, it might have been quite a while since the events of Captain Marvel, but Goose isn't an ordinary cat – she's a Flerken alien. Did Goose manage to make it to Endgame? And if so, will we get to see the cat in the film?

Endgame director Anthony Russo knows that answer, but he doesn't want to give it away. The filmmaker recently spoke with Fandango as part of the announcement of the film's beginning of ticket sales, and during the interview with the site, Russo was asked whether or not Goose survived the Snap.

"That's certainly something I cannot comment on at this point. I know, I can imagine a lot of people want to know that," Russo answered.

Imagine what it'd be like if Thanos (Josh Brolin) got a surprise attack from Goose's tentacles, or if the cat scampered back to Captain Marvel after being brought back from the dust once the Avengers manages to undo the Snappening. Now wouldn't that be a sight, huh?

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26.
