Avengers: Endgame Deleted Scene Reveals Dramatic Initial Reaction To Tony Stark's Death

Admit it, you cried your eyes out when Tony Stark died in Avengers: Endgame. And if you didn't, the deleted scene from the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick will make the tears start rolling.

In Endgame, Tony made the ultimate sacrifice when he took the Infinity Stones from Thanos and snapped the Mad Titan away from existence. The effect of the snap was too much for Tony's human body and he quietly passed away in Pepper Potts' arms. The scene somehow ended with a shot at the shocked faces of Captain America and Thor.

However, the scene could have been a lot longer and even more dramatic. USA Today has unveiled the deleted scene where all the heroes paid tribute to their fallen companion. Watch it below.

The first hero to drop to his knee is Clint Barton, who is immediately followed by Black Panther and Captain Marvel. Soon everyone, including an absolutely exhausted Captain America, is down on one knee.

It's an amazing and poignant moment that could have given Tony's death more meaning, considering that his friends immediately paid tribute to him. However, it also confirmed that Gamora is alive and well and well, sneaking away while everybody is distracted.

Although it's depressing that the scene was cut from the theatrical release, it's understandable why it needed to be removed. The heroes do pay tribute to Tony later on and the additional footage simply prolonged an already lengthy movie.
