It looks like there will be major changes in the Avengers: Endgame this year. But could one potential change actually be for the better? A new image has teased on Bruce Banner and Hulk merging to become Professor Hulk in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.
A new promotional image for Endgame features the original six Avengers in their full costume (via Twitter). Although the rest of the team don't have any major changes, people immediately zoned in on Clint Barton as Ronin as well as Hulk's new look. Since we've already seen a bit of Jeremy Renner in the trailers, fans started freaking out over Bruce Banner's alter ego looking a lot more like ... Bruce Banner.
In the comic books, Banner and Hulk somehow merge into one, combining Banner's intelligence with Hulk's brute strength and power. The so-called Merged Hulk or The Professor is the largest incarnation of Hulk in the comics.
So could this mean that Professor Hulk is actually going to be introduced in Endgame? The possibility has already been teased in Avengers: Infinity War when Hulk refused to emerge. Needless to say, it has people excited for the upcoming MCU flick.
The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:
"After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos' actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store."
Let's hope that Banner and Hulk's possible merge will be what everyone needs this year. Avengers: Endgame premieres on April 26.
