There have been several speculations about Avengers: Endgame possibly featuring the survivors going back in time. However, it looks like the new Captain America action figure for the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick has confirmed the time traveling storyline.
The image of the action figure was shared on Reddit and clearly depicts Captain America in what is being called the Quantum Realm suit. However, Steve Rogers also appears to be wearing the helmet he wore back in 2012's Avengers. Take a look at the photo below.
If you're wondering if the action figure is the real thing or if the headgear might be something more recent, the poster was quick to explain that it can't be anything different from what you saw in the first Avengers film.
"It's legit, I found it on Instagram under #marvellegends. The same post has out of package shots of all the others from the wave. Even from just the package shots of him, you can tell Cap has his ears covered, whereas every Cap helmet since has had exposed ears," they wrote before adding, "Also no chin strap, which every other Cap suit has had except Avengers 1."
So why is Captain America wearing his old helmet? It's possible that the heroes will be going back to 2012 right after the Battle of New York. It's still unclear what they will be after but there are speculations that the Tesseract and Loki's scepter will play a major role in Endgame. However, this is still based on theory so we recommend taking it with a grain of salt.
The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:
"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26.
