Avengers: A-Day Takes Deep Dive Into Upcoming Hero Kate Bishop

New of the Avengers game have been pretty grim lately, what with the loss of the player base and poor reviews. At this point, there's nowhere to go but up, and Square Enix has released a deep dive into upcoming character, Kate Bishop.

Watch this:

Kate is searching for her former mentor, Hawkeye, but along the way she discovers a conspiracy involving Nick Fury, time travel, and a frightening new enemy.

Though Kamala may have been the central character of the main game, it's going to be interesting to see how another young Avenger factors into the story.

As for playstyle, Kate looks like she has all the expected skills from Hawkeye like the expert marksmanship and swordskills. Besides that, she also makes use of some repurposed AIM tech so she can teleport around the battlefield and even help her teammates teleport as well.

I guess it's also worth mentioning that the game is introducing a new enemy from the comics called the Super Adaptoid which has all the powers of the existing Avengers.

Hopefully this will get some more people to pick up the game again, and have them hyped for the Hawkeye DLC next year. By the end of the clip, there's also a teaser for Hawkeye's main story which takes place in an alternate future, and you get a look at the Maestro, a future persona of the Hulk who has his strength, but Banner's intelligence. I'm also sure there's a sentinel from X-Men.

Kate Bishop comes to Avengers on Dec. 8.
