Marvel fans seem to be rather busy crying their eyes out over Chris Evan's posts. Last week, the Captain America star broke hearts after sending out a Tweet signaling the end of his work on the reshoots for Avengers 4. The sequel to Avengers: Infinity War is essentially Evan's last film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the actor made sure to thank his fans and everyone in front and behind the camera for the memories that have been made in the past eight years that he's been in the franchise.
Evan's co-star, Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), decided to tip his hat off to his friend by sharing a post with an image comparing their friendship to that of the Toy Story trilogy's Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Telling fans that everyone knows "who the real sheriff in town is," Downey Jr. tagged Evans in his post, giving the Avengers star the honor he deserves as the MCU's Captain America.
Sharing his co-star's post, Evans successfully made the Marvel fanbase teary-eyed all over again, reminding everyone that his time as Marvel's Steve Rogers has finally come to an end.

The actor hasn't kept the possibility of his role in the MCU coming to end a secret from fans, speaking frankly about his contract coming up right before the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War. While Evans definitely wants to extend his stay with Marvel, the Captain America star has come to terms with the fact that he'll no longer get to play the First Avenger after Avengers 4.
Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
