Avatar Star Says Sequel Will be 'Worth The Wait' Despite Production Halt

There is little doubt that the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) is putting a hold on everything including the production of several films and TV shows. However, Stephen Lang isn't particularly concerned that filming for the Avatar sequels is being delayed. After all, the Don't Breathe star claims the movies will be well worth the wait.

Lang took to his official Twitter account to share an article about production on the Avatar sequels being delayed. The Mortal Engines actor then added a hopeful caption. Take a look at his tweet below.

"Worth the wait. That's a promise. Oel nagati kameie," Lang wrote.

It's no secret that Lang firmly believes in the power of the Avatar sequels. It was previously reported that the Into the Badlands star stated that the second Avatar film will be able to defeat Avengers: Endgame in the box office.

Avatar was previously the highest-grossing film of all time before it was overtaken by Endgame. Nevertheless, James Cameron and the film's cast and crew seem confident that the sequels will be able to reclaim the title in the future.

Production on the Avatar sequels are currently on hold due to COVID-19 and it is still unclear when the movies will resume filming. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

Avatar 2 is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021.
