Attack on Titan: Grisha Actor Opens Up About Character's Pivotal Scene


It has been a few days since we got the latest episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 but people still can't stop talking about what happened in Memories of the Future. In Episode 79, it was finally revealed that Grisha Yeager did not brainwash Eren and that it was actually the other way around as his son goaded him into slaughtering the Reiss family. Now Hiroshi Tsuchida is opening up about his character's pivotal scene.

Hiroshi Tsuchida has been the voice of Grisha Yeager in Attack on Titan and although he hasn't appeared for several episodes, he finally returned in The Final Season Part 2. Eren and Zeke Yeager's father played an important role in Episode 79 as he revealed that the Attack Titan's ability is allowing its host to see the memories of its future inheritors. He also turned in an emotional performance as the character regretted his actions and begged Zeke to stop Eren from going through with his plan.

With Attack on Titan fans celebrating Grisha's latest appearance, Tsuchida has finally addressed what happened in Episode 79 and expressed his gratitude to all his supporters.

"I am very honored to be involved in this wonderful story. Thanks and blessings to all who I met through Attack on Titan. thank you!" Tsuchida wrote.

It's a simple yet important message from the Attack on Titan voice actor who continues to remain humble amidst all the success. We're hoping that Tsuchida will deliver more amazing performances in the upcoming episodes and in his future projects.

Attack on Titan Episode 80 is titled From You, 2,000 Years Ago ("Nisennen-mae no Kimi kara") and is named after the manga's Chapter 122. Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 21 will premiere on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
