Although it was an action-packed episode where everyone did their part in order to escape, Episode 86 also concluded with a surprising post-credits scene.
In the Attack on Titan Episode 86 post-credits scene, Hange Zoe tells their companions that Liberio and Marley could not be saved and that they are all headed for Odiha. The idea of not being to save her father is devastating for Annie Leonhart who asks to get off the ship as she no longer has a reason to fight. Mikasa Ackerman tries to reassure her but Annie asks Mikasa if she can kill Eren Yeager to stop the Rumbling.

The teaser for the final episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 2 already confirmed that Eren Yeager will be back after being absent in the past few episodes. Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 28 is titled The Dawn of Humanity ("Jinrui no Yoake") and is named after the manga's Chapter 130. Episode 87 will premiere on Monday, April 4, 2022, at 12:05 AM JST.
