ASTRO MJ Deems Makeup, Hairstyle His Confidence Boosters

ASTRO MJ has already sported different makeup looks and hairstyles since their debut. In every stage performance and comeback material, he and the rest of the group members offer different vibes and tones before their audience.

Apart from helping their overall concepts and visuals, MJ once shared that makeup and hairdos bring several other benefits to him as a K-pop idol. During a 2018 interview with Allure, he shared his thoughts about the matter.

How Makeup Styles Help ASTRO MJ

MJ debuted as an official K-pop idol and member of ASTRO in 2016. Since then, makeup has become an “integral part” of his life, per the publication.

In discussing his thoughts on makeup and hairstyles, the oldest member of the group shared that these things help him with confidence. He explained that they bring him “more” of it, especially on stage appearances and performances.

The group leader, JinJin, expounded on his co-member’s statements, seemingly implying his agreement. He said that their hair and makeup are the “best way to express” themselves before the public.

ASTRO On Hairstyles And Hair Dyes

During the same engagement, the ASTRO members talked about their future plans in terms of makeup and hairstyles. As they focused on the potential visuals they would don in their next comeback materials or performances, MJ and JinJin touched on the subject of hair dyes.

The group leader revealed that he wanted to try white hair color. But, for MJ and Sanha, they shared that theirs would be in shades of green as they would like mint and emerald, respectively.

To date, MJ and Sanha have yet to dye their hair green. Only JinJin has done it in the past, and even a couple of times.

MJ And His Current Activities

ASTRO officially made its 2020 comeback on May 16. The six-member act dropped their third full album, Drive to the Starry Road.

MJ has not joined his groupmates, though, for the promotional activities. He has already enlisted for his mandatory service earlier this month.
