Arrow recently aired its series finally which brings the Emerald Archer's story to a close. While the show has been fundamental in building The CW's shared universe, it looks like some viewers didn't tune in to bid the hero's story goodbye.

In a recent report from TV Line, Arrow's last episode brought in 723,000 viewers, along with a .3 rating within the 18-49 demographic. This was a drop of 20% from the previous episode which served as the backdoor pilot for the Green Arrow and the Canaries spinoff. This was quite a huge drop in numbers compared to the last part of Crisis on Infinite Earths, which drew twice as many viewers. In addition, the final season premiere drew 100,000 viewers.

That being said, it is important to note that these numbers only reflect the broadcast audiences, the DVR recordings and the amount of views on The CW's streaming app are yet to be included.

While it's a pretty huge drop, it is understandable since fans have already witnessed Oliver Queen's fate in the Arrowverse crossover event. Considering that the showrunners did a series ending a little bit different than usual with the main character killed off, it isn't surprising to know that some viewers didn't tune in for the grand finale.

Despite a decrease in viewers, loyal fans of the show really enjoyed watching the Green Arrow take on such epic and cool adventures throughout eight seasons. His legacy will surely be remembered by fans and they can't wait to see what lies ahead in the future.
