Arrow Season 8 Will Be the Show's Final Season

Arrow is a series that has had a ton of ups and downs but there' no doubt that it helped make superhero shows the "in thing" for a while. The Arrowverse soon gave birth to shows that shared the same universe like The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, both of which are arguably better than the series that spawned them.

Well, it's the end of an era as Stephen Amell has stated that the series he stars in will end this fall with season 8.

The Arrow lead went to Twitter to announce that season 8 would not just be the final season but will only have 10 episodes. It seems like the series will be ending with a more intimate storyline that will be more tightly-paced since it's much shorter than previous seasons.

It's also worth noting that DC's Green Arrow comic also concluded recently with its 50th issue so that's an odd bit of corporate synergy. Okay, obviously the news for both entertainment mediums weren't meant to coincide but it is an interesting bit to bring up. DC has already promised a new Green Arrow comic book but it's doubtful that we'll be getting a new Arrow series with the same cast.

Fans will be able to check out the final season of Arrow this fall.
