Armor Wars Star Don Cheadle Defends Marvel's Phase 4 Amidst Criticism

It's no secret that there was a ton of new content dropped during Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 4. Not surprisingly, fans have started talking about possible fatigue setting in as the next phase begins in the next few months. Still, Don Cheadle points out that it was all planned out and the Armor Wars star is ready to defend Marvel's Phase 4.

Don Cheadle recently spoke to Total Film and he discussed how the new MCU projects are becoming more ambitious (via CBR). The Falcon and the Winter Soldier actor stated that Marvel Studios still considers quality over quantity.

"It can go on and on and on… hopefully it doesn't get spread too thin," Cheadle said. "And there's still some quality control and not just trying to expand for expansion's sake. But there's a clear idea about the storytelling and what you're trying to accomplish with every iteration."

There is little doubt that Marvel did drop a lot of new shows on Disney+ that introduced a variety of new characters who are expected to play larger roles in the future. All the new shows have great potential and people are looking forward to seeing more of these characters. Needless to say, we trust that Don Cheadle knows what he's talking about and we can't wait to see how the MCU expands even further in Phase 5.

Don Cheadle plays James "Rhodey" Rhodes aka War Machine and although he only appeared sporadically in Marvel's Phase 4, he's set for more appearances in the future. We already know that he's headlining Armor Wars, the series that is being reworked into a feature film that will begin filming later this year.

For now, Armor Wars has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
