Area 51 Raid Organizers Got A Visit From FBI

The Area 51 meme movement might not be as strong as it used to be, however, the notorious "Storm Area 51" raid is now just a little over a week away. What started as a plan to Naruto run through to Area 51 eventually turned into an alien enthusiast music festival named "Alien Stock," and while the whole thing seems pretty small and harmless, the event's organizers found themselves face to face with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

TMZ recently spoke with organizers Frank DiMaggio and Matty Roberts about planning "Alien Stock" and during the interview, the alien enthusiasts revealed that they were visited by the FBI. According to DiMaggio and Roberts, the FBI wanted to make sure that no one wasn't really planning to raid Area 51.

"An FBI agent from the Sacramento office. It was actually a little bit spooky, actually, multiple of them. It actually wasn't that bad. They were just kind of making sure I wasn't making pipe bombs in my living room and not actually planning on storming the frickin' base," the organizers told the entertainment news outlet.

It makes sense that the FBI would investigate the event. Sure, Naruto-running into Area 51 might sound ridiculous, but we can never really be sure how seriously the organizers might have taken their plan.

Right now, "Storm Area 51" has become a lovely little celebration set to take place at Downtown Las Vegas Events Center – a little shift from its original location in rural Rachel, Nevada, an area 27 miles away from the actual Area 51.
