From the original cult classic comes the sequel that everyone is waiting for after almost three decades as Hocus Pocus 2 arrives on Disney Plus. However, who among the original cast are reprising their roles and returning with their iconic roles?
Are The Original Cast in Hocus Pocus 2?
Well, only some of the original cast are returning, not all of them. Hocus Pocus 2 also welcomes a new set of characters that will be interacting with the original ones.
Of course, there is the iconic Sanderson sisters who are back after almost three decades. Bette Midler returns as Winifred Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker remains ethereal as Sarah Sanderson, and Kathy Najimy reprises her role as Mary Sanderson in Hocus Pocus 2.
The three witches are summoned back by Becca and Izzy who are both virgins under a full moon and they lit the black flame candle during the annual 16th birthday ritual of Becca.
The iconic book of the Sanderson sisters are also back and this time, it is shown in Hocus Pocus 2 how they got ahold of the Manual of Witchcraft and Alchemy. It turns out Winifred was banished from Salem because she wouldn't marry the town bachelor.

Winifred and her sisters, Mary and Sarah, escaped from the angry townspeople through the sacred woods where they encountered Mother Witch who almost ate them had she not sensed the innate power of the sisters, thus, she gifted them the Manual of Witchcraft and Alchemy.
Also making a return is Billy Butcherson played by Doug Jones and Cobweb the Cat remains adorable as ever! Unfortunately, Dani Dennison who played Birch didn't reprise the role because of filming commitments on Wednesday on Netflix.
It's a new era and the Sanderson sisters enter into the 21st century, a fiasco waiting to happen, indeed.
