Just when you thought Ben Affleck's days as the cape crusader are numbered, it was recently confirmed that apart from his involvement in The Flash, the actor will also be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne and Batman in the upcoming Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom starring Jason Momoa. As it stands, we still don't know what role Affleck will play and how Wayne factors into the story.

Naturally, DC fans were over the moon after learning about Affleck's return and unsurprisingly, Momoa feels the same way about Batfleck's major DCEU comeback. In an interview with Variety at the world premiere for See Season 3, the Dune actor shared how it was like being reunited with his Justice League co-star.

Jason says: "I mean, it’s just hugs and kisses, I love that guy. We get along too well, and it’s very good to see him again. Too much fun, it’s too much fun."

It's unclear if Affleck is just finishing his Batman obligations before the rumored DCEU reboot or if his return is an indication that Batfleck will actually be sticking around. It's worth mentioning that according to the latest rumors, Affleck's role in Aquaman 2 was originally intended for Michael Keaton so it's kind of safe to assume that this is part of David Zaslav's plans to save the DCEU. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is currently slated for release on March 17, 2023.
