Aquaman star Amber Heard has made headlines the world over for her alleged maltreatment of ex-husband Johnny Depp. As it stands, the legal battle between the two former lovers is far from over but from what we know so far, it's looking like Amber is getting the upper hand which would explain why she's still being handed out projects after projects.

We all know that the ever-so-controversial actress will be making her return to the DC Extended Universe in Aquaman 2 and according to recent rumors, her character Mera is set to get an upgraded role in the sequel. Apart from that, she also joined some of the cast of Zack Snyder's Justice League for additional photography.

Things don't stop there because apparently, Amber is also set for a massive pay raise for the Aquaman sequel. A new report from insider Daniel Richtman's Patreon claims that the actress is set for a massive pay raise for her involvement in the James Wan-directed film.

According to Richtman, Heard could potentially get half of what her co-star Jason Momoa will earn and that is huge considering Amber only appeared as a supporting character in the first film. Take it with a grain of salt, of course, but if this new rumor turns out to be true, it definitely supports previous reports surrounding Amber's elevated role in Aquaman 2.

It's no secret that DC and Warner Bros. see great potential in Amber and if we were to set aside her personal issues, she did play her role as Mera extremely well. Then again, Heard's reputation has already been tainted by the allegations thrown at her and some fans find it hard to look at her the same way.
