The behind-the-scenes crew of Aquaman continues to get bigger. Just recently, we featured the confirmation from director James Wan himself, who stated that Don Burgess will be part of the film as its cinematographer.
Now, another name has been added, and it's one that has done some impressive work in other movies. Over at Reddit (via Comicbook.com), fans have spotted that part of Kym Barrett's CV includes Aquaman. This was also confirmed over her IMDB page, which lists Aquaman as her latest work.
Barrett has her own list of impressive movies where she had been the costume designer. These include The Matrix trilogy, Cloud Atlas, and Jupiter Ascending. Her earlier works include From Hell, Gothika, and Romeo + Juliet.
She's no stranger to superhero flicks either, as she has also worked on The Amazing Spider-Man and The Green Hornet.
Aquaman is really upping its game, making it the most promising DC film that has yet to be released. This is both a bane and boon for DC I would say. While this makes Aquaman the must-anticipate DC movie, it calls to mind the earlier rumor about how the execs seem to be channeling their focus on Aquaman than say The Flash—which we haven't heard a lot of progress from lately.
Aquaman will arrive in theaters on Oct. 5, 2018.
