As we're now three months away from its planned release this holiday season, fans have been anticipating the first look teaser at the upcoming film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom especially since it is the last DCEU entry before the upcoming DCU reboot.

However, it is unusual that the sequel has not released any preview within this three-month gap as most DCEU movies in the past have unveiled its first teaser around four to five months before its release in theaters.

There have been reports that the film's behind-the-scenes production has been troubled which may explain the lack of promotional materials at this point and it doesn't help that the recent DCEU entries have underperformed at the box office.

Now, the long wait is over as they have finally released our very first preview of the highly-anticipated sequel.

The First Teaser for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Has Arrived

Warner Bros. has finally released the teaser for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom which gave us our first quick look at Arthur Curry's next underwater adventure in the DCEU.

They also announced that the first full trailer will arrive this coming Thursday, September 14.

The 30-second preview gave us our first tease at the Jason Momoa hero's next heroic journey where it seems that they will be spending a lot of time in the CGI-filled underwater world, more so than the first movie.

We also got out glimpse at the return of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's Black Manta, who is once again out for revenge against Arthur and it is looking like he is going to be the actual main antagonist that the hero will face in the sequel.

We will definitely get to see more scenes from the film once the full trailer drops this Thursday and it is curious to see what else they have in store as DCEU fans have been looking forward to it.

Given that the first film was a billion-dollar grosser and the recent DCEU movies' disappointing performance at the box office, there is a lot at stake for the sequel's release this holiday season and Warner Bros. is certainly hoping that the DCEU swan song will fare better than the others.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to release in theaters this December 20.
