The final DCEU movie Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to finally arrive in theaters this coming holiday season. A few weeks ago, they released the first trailer which gave us a tease of what we can expect on the titular hero's next adventure in Atlantis.

However, the making of the sequel has been flooded with drama as reports have claimed that the film underwent multiple reshoots and encountered various issues during its post-production.

It also got caught up in the middle of the highly-publicized trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp since there were claims that the actress' screen time in the sequel was reduced. Even the trailer itself only showed her in a very brief shot which potentially teases how much she'll show up in the final cut.

Now, a new report has revealed more alleged details surrounding the making of the sequel including the drama between Heard and the film's lead Jason Momoa.

A new report from Variety revealed more alleged information surrounding the behind-the-scenes drama that was happening on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

Most of the details came from the documents from Heard’s therapist, Dr. Dawn Hughes, which were released after Depp's fans paid for the court fees.

The notes, which were written on a legal pad, described the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom set as "hostile" with allegations that Momoa came to the set drunk one day and dressed like Depp. He also reportedly pushed for Heard to get fired from the sequel.

While Momoa declined to comment, a spokesperson from DC Studios pushed back on Heard's claims. "Jason Momoa conducted himself in a professional manner at all times on the set of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom," they said.

Insiders also echoed the same sentiment and claimed that they spotted Momoa and Heard getting along on the set. They also said that the actor "isn’t dressing like Johnny Depp. He has always dressed in that bohemian style."

Heard also claimed that she felt unsupportive by director James Wan. "He raised his voice @ me — ‘I can’t even post about Aquaman’ — made it like it was my fault – I said ‘I’m sorry.’ Nobody could take selfies with me on set given blackout," said the notes from Hughes.

The DC Studios spokesperson also denied the claims surrounding Wan. They said, "James is known for treating members of his cast and crew with the utmost respect and for fostering a positive, collaborative environment on set — the Aquaman films were no exception."

Heard was also nearly fired from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom before production started citing sources from both sides in the report.

The decision was allegedly made by Warner Bros. and Wan due to the actress' lack of chemistry with Momoa. It is unrelated, however, to the Depp trial since the lawsuit hadn't happened by that time and Momoa was also not involved in the decision. However, some sources pushed back on that narrative.

Ultimately, Heard's firing from the sequel did not happen since her former boyfriend Elon Musk had his lawyer send a "scorched-earth letter to Warner Bros. threatening to burn the house down." The studio caved in and retained the actress.

It is interesting to see how this new report could affect the studio's promotional campaign for the film since this might be one of the issues that will surface when the people involved in the sequel undergo press interviews.

While the studio has denied some of the claims, there is no doubt that this is yet again another drama that is not favorable to them, especially as they're hoping for a sequel to be a huge success again just like the first film.
