Ao Ashi Episode 7 Review
In Ao Ashi episode 7, Ashito Aoi started the Esperion Youth’s intra-squad friendly. While he showed his skill, the episode also highlighted how far behind Ashito is when it comes to tactics.
After a few episodes away from the pitch, it was good to see some soccer played in Ao Ashi episode 7. There was plenty of sporting action to enjoy here, even if it didn’t feel quite as important as the tryouts.
Alongside the soccer, there were also some developments in the series’ side characters.
Ex-biker gang member Keiji already looks like an excellent character, while it will be fun to see how Ashito’s relationship develops with Hana now they’re likely to spend more time together.
Overall, this was another solid episode by a sports anime which is slowly amassing a quite sizeable fanbase.

Ao Ashi Episode 8 Release Date
Ao Ashi episode 8 will be released on Saturday, May 28.
A preview for episode 8, Night Training, has been released on the series’ official Twitter account:
The episode will premiere in the evening on NHK in Japan. Most Western regions will be able to watch Ao Ashi early in the day on Saturday due to timezone differences.

Episode 8 of Ao Ashi, titled Night Training, will premiere in Japan at 18:25 on May 28 (Saturday).
Ao Ashi is forming part of Crunchyroll’s Spring 2022 simulcast lineup.
Series on Crunchyroll are usually available around one hour after they’ve aired in Japan. However, there appears to be a slightly longer delay for Ao Ashi this season.
Based on the release times for previous episodes, here is when we expect you’ll be able to see episode 8 internationally:
