Antonio Banderas Sparks Fantastic Four Speculation Amid Galactus Casting Rumors

The rumor mill is spinning faster than ever as new updates regarding Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot come to light. According to the latest reports, the 2025 film's cast is already set in stone with Adam Driver, Margot Robbie, Paul Mescal, and Daveed Diggs expected to lead the project.

Some of you may be asking, who will the First Family go up against in their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut? Turns out, the studio wants to fast-track the arrival of Galactus in the franchise, and if the most recent rumors are to be believed, the iconic Marvel villain will be played by acting legend Antonio Banderas.

Rumors surrounding his potential MCU involvement first surfaced last month and now, the Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny star is fueling major speculation online with his social media post.

Taking to his official social media pages, Banderas posted a video of himself revealing that his likeness is being replicated for a movie project. While he didn't exactly specify what film it's for, MCU fans were quick to jump to the conclusion that it will be for Fantastic Four.

Interestingly, the same grueling process the actor went through is similar to what most MCU actors undergo during pre-production. He wrote: "Here I am in the strange and a little exhausting process of building an exact copy of my face for a movie…" Check it out here:

I think we can all agree that Banderas is the last person many of us expected would get cast as Galactus and if the rumors end up being true, then it's an interesting casting choice, to say the least.

You can't deny though that him becoming part of the MCU is long overdue and we're keeping our fingers crossed that he's indeed part of the highly anticipated comic book film.

Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four reboot is slated for theatrical release on February 14, 2025.
